Cybersecurity Risk Analyst
Location: Dublin
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: €75,000 - €85,000
A growing cybersecurity team within a leading pharmaceutical organisation is expanding its risk management and assessment capability and adding a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to support hands-on risk identification and mitigation across internal systems, cloud workloads, and sensitive business processes. You may occasionally find dashboards that look more like lab results than risk reports-but it's all part of keeping the organisation secure.
The role blends risk assessment, metrics reporting, framework alignment, and cross-team collaboration to maintain a robust security posture across the company.
The Role
You'll support and conduct cybersecurity risk activities, validate mitigation measures, and contribute to refining internal risk processes and reporting frameworks. This position suits someone who wants exposure to real-world risk scenarios, security frameworks, and operational risk engineering rather than purely theoretical assessments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate and conduct risk workshops across IT and business teams
2. Perform detailed cybersecurity risk assessments aligned to NIST, ISO, and internal methodologies
3. Monitor, track, and report on risk treatment plans, KRIs, and KPIs
4. Contribute to risk dashboards and executive-level reporting
5. Research emerging threats, including AI/ML risk and cloud-related concerns
6. Suggest improvements to internal risk frameworks, policies, and governance processes
7. Maintain accurate technical notes and documentation of assessment processes
Skills & Experience
8. 3+ years in cybersecurity risk management, preferably in regulated industries such as pharma or finance
9. Familiarity with NIST RMF, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27005, and other cybersecurity risk frameworks
10. Understanding of AI/ML risk, data privacy, and emerging regulatory standards
11. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with clear technical communication abilities
12. Experience supporting cross-functional projects and initiatives
13. Comfort working with cloud and hybrid environments
14. Demonstrated curiosity and drive to identify risk in complex systems
