Job Description
As a Continental Shift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is repaired to the highest possible standards. This includes recording all work carried out in SAP and on shift reports, implementing permanent fixes for all issues raised on the SAP shift report, and being responsible for the Maintenance H&S function on shift. You will also provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all Maintenance activities, assist management in all technical activities, and work alongside the Maintenance Team to build a continuous improvement environment within the facility.
Responsibilities:
* Following is a list of the basic responsibilities:
* Responsible for the Bakery Maintenance Engineering function on shift.
* To ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest possible standards.
* To record all work carried out in SAP and on Shift Report.
* Implement permanent fixes for all issues raised on the SAP shift report.
* To be responsible for the Maintenance H&S function on shift.
* To provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all Maintenance activities.
* To be a hands-on/front-line leader of the team in breakdown situations.
* To assist management in all technical activities (projects, equipment install, reporting and continuous improvements etc.).
* To work alongside the Maintenance Team to build a continuous improvement environment within the facility.
* To be a good communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
* To attend all required shift meetings.
* Cary out preventative maintenance tasks including condition based monitoring.
* To carry out a shift hand-over meeting at the start and end of each shift.
* Responsible for identifying equipment spares and informing Manager/Planner of spares used during your shift.
* Provide Maintenance assistance to our cold stores refrigeration plant when needed.
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong Mechanical skills. The ideal candidate will be able to use a multimeter, understand electrical schematics, and troubleshoot electrical systems and sensor faults. Food/refrigeration and other utility experiences are an advantage. A good team player and self-motivated individual who is available for call-out duties and/or overtime when required is essential. Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office and SAP, is also required.
