The role involves a variety of project and services-based work, focused on automation systems and solutions, primarily in the Water, Manufacturing and Infrastructure industries.We are looking for someone with passion and drive who will be responsible for:Design, development, commissioning, testing and support of electrical and automation systemsLearning from more experienced engineers whilst executing on project tasksConsistently meeting predefined project and engineering targetsContributing to the development of best practice methodologies, software, systems, procedures and uptake of the latest technologies.The ProfileThe successful applicant will have:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, a related field or 8+ years industry experienceDemonstrable experience applying an engineering approach to problem solvingMature technology skillset, code development skills and methodologies (exposure to IEC 61131-3 Programming Languages an asset)Proficient in Siemens PLC development using TIA PortalExperience in the design, configuration, and development of WinCC OA.Strong understanding of control system architectureCompetence in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, I/O schedules, and network diagramsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively, both autonomously and within a teamInitiative and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement & self-development.Skills Preferred:Mature PLC coding methodologyMature SCADA design methodologyMature Process Improvement CapabilityExperience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and serial communicationsAbility to execute and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system commissioning activities.Familiarity with testing tools, simulation environments, and diagnostic platforms for PLC and SCADA systemsThis position is based in Australia, and we are specifically looking for an Irish Control Systems Engineer.The EmployerOur client is a Specialists in Automation and Control Systems, we shine a light on the complex and consistently produce successful outcomes.
