We are seeking a Senior Architect & Building Compliance Specialist to join a diverse engineering team delivering major electricity infrastructure projects.
Youll be responsible for architectural services from feasibility through to construction, covering both new developments and the refurbishment of existing assets.
This is a high-impact role where youll provide technical expertise, ensure compliance, and lead on safety and quality culture.
Its an opportunity to play a key part in the transition to Net Zero by 2040 while gaining experience in large-scale renewables projects, no previous renewables experience required.
Key Responsibilities Lead the architectural design function for assigned projects Promote and take ownership of safety and quality management culture Engage with stakeholders to define project scope, programme, and budget Coordinate external consultants during design and construction phases Oversee contract administration during construction Manage project plans covering scope, programme, and cost Ensure compliance with Planning, Fire Safety, Safety & Health legislation Provide technical expertise in feasibility, design implementation, building control compliance, and sustainable design Fulfil duties as Design Certifier and/or Assigned Certifier under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations Manage consultants, review reports, and resolve technical issues Skills & Experience Essential: 5+ years as a consultant architect with a strong design portfolio In-depth knowledge of Irish regulations, legislation, and building compliance Proven track record in delivering large, complex architectural projects Experience in contract administration and design team leadership Competence in safety management, including PSDP responsibilities Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Full driving licence and access to a car Desirable: Proficiency in Auto CAD and REVIT Qualifications NFQ Level 8 Degree in Architecture or related discipline Registered Architect status in accordance with Section 18(1) of the Building Control Act 2007 Additional Information Hybrid working: 12 days per week in the Dublin Airport office, with flexibility for remote work Travel to project locations may be required (expenses not covered for attendance at base location) If youre an experienced architect looking to take a leadership role in a major infrastructure and renewables programme, wed love to hear from you.
