Role: Cost Planner
Client: Leading Residential Developer
Essentials: 2 years' post-graduate cost planning experience with a PQS/Developer; strong IT skills (Buildsoft-Cubit, CostX or equivalent, Microsoft Word and Excel)
Location: Office based in Central Dublin
Salary: €50,000 - €60,000

Reporting to: Senior Cost Planner
Our client, a leading residential developer, is offering a unique opportunity for a Cost Planner to join their team and assist in the provision of quantity surveying services under the guidance of a Senior Cost Planner. The role will involve measuring planned works, contributing to cost projections, and supporting project decision-making throughout acquisition and design development.
* Assist in preparing cost plans from early feasibility through to detailed cost planning, ready for handover to the project team.
* Participate in design team meetings, providing feedback to the Senior Cost Planner.
* Communicate essential design information to the Senior Cost Planner to ensure efficiency in unit types, layouts, and materials.
* Liaise with the cost planning team and benchmark data from live projects to support budgeting.
* Work with the sales team to ensure specifications and budgets align with market expectations.
* Aid in taking off quantities and creating Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for upcoming developments.
* Help develop and maintain the company's construction cost databank for financial appraisals.
* Assist in the preparation of Part V applications and ensure compliance with local authorities.
* Engage with PQS consultants to prepare BoQs for project budgets.
* Attend meetings and conduct site visits.
