Automation Engineer (Entry–Mid Level)
Develop, test, and implement control system software changes for validated manufacturing systems while supporting production operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable automation solutions in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for development, installation, and support of automation control systems within a highly automated validated manufacturing plant
Provide technical support to operations for automation-related issues and complex problem solving
Develop, test, and implement control system software changes with supporting documentation
Participate in and occasionally lead project teams, providing technical input and direction
Support and, where required, manage control systems and software-based projects
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for control systems and processes
Ensure effective execution and closure of Quality System documentation in line with company procedures
Work with management to develop and implement engineering goals and plant strategic initiatives
Ensure all activities comply with internal and external Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and training to less experienced team members
Monitor project timelines and coordinate resources to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Solid understanding of automation control systems within a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot systems
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
Experience working in a regulated or validated environment is desirable
Graduate level or minimum of 2+ years relevant industry experience
