In this role, you'll provide objective assurance to the Audit Committee, Board, and senior management whilst helping to strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance.If you have experience delivering audit plans to best practice standards and a passion for driving value through insight, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact.ResponsibilitiesDeliver end-to-end audit activity in line with the approved annual plan, ensuring timely executionProduce high-quality, insightful audit reports on the effectiveness of internal controlsSteer the annual audit planning process, focusing on current and emerging risksProvide analysis and input into the annual risk assessment and audit planAct as the key contact for senior Irish stakeholders, including ExCo and Process Classification Framework holdersMonitor changes to the risk profile and contribute to identifying emerging risksDemonstrate strong direction and oversight across audit activitiesStay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory needEnsure governance and compliance standards are met, with accurate reporting to regulatory bodiesWE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:A strong background in internal audit, within banking or financial servicesProven comprehension of risk and control principlesKnowledge of credit risk and banking regulations relevant to Irish operationsHigh levels of motivation and the ability to work under pressureStrong relationship-building skills with auditees and stakeholdersProven ability to deliver projects on time and within budgetIT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:Knowledge of business processes and controls within the financial services industryTechnical product and regulatory knowledge relevant to the Irish portfolioWe are an inclusive organisation and committed to ensuring our recruitment process is as accessible as possible to everyone.
