Data Platform Engineer (Ireland)We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to build and support ResMed’s growing data ecosystem as an individual contributor. The role is based in Ireland, hybrid with approximately one day per week onsite in Sandyford, Dublin.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and enhance data platform components and pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery using Python, SQL, and cloud‑based tools.Develop and support analytics and data models in Snowflake using dbt or similar transformation frameworks.Implement basic testing, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data quality, reliability, and operational health.Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver trusted datasets.Support platform foundations for analytics, reporting, and early‑stage ML/AI use cases.Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of data platform engineering processes.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.3–6 years of hands‑on experience as a data engineer, data platform engineer, analytics engineer, or software engineer working with data systems.Working proficiency in SQL and experience building data models in a modern analytics platform (Snowflake preferred).Experience developing data pipelines using Python and cloud‑based services.Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.Hands‑on experience building and operating data systems on AWS (S3, IAM, EC2/ECS/EKS, Lambda, Glue, EMR, or similar).Experience using Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.Understanding of core software engineering practices: code reviews, testing, and debugging.Nice‑to‑HaveExperience with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or similar.Exposure to streaming or event‑driven data systems (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).Exposure to ML/AI workflows or supporting data for machine learning use cases.Experience working in regulated environments or on large‑scale enterprise data platforms.BenefitsCompetitive compensation with bonus plan.Work‑from‑home flexibility and occasional onsite requirements.Referral bonus and share‑holding programme.Health benefits (Pension, Long‑Term Illness Protection, Health Insurance).Gym membership allowance and Cycle‑to‑Work Scheme.Internal career opportunities within an international, fast‑paced company.
