Residential Construction Project Manager Role
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in delivering landmark residential and regeneration projects across the country. As a Site Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the day-to-day management of construction, technical, and operational stages of projects.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering results, with excellent technical and commercial acumen. You will be responsible for on-site supervision, ensuring that contractors carry out works in accordance with design specifications. Additionally, you will coordinate contract interfaces, assess contractor claims, and provide clear comments on submissions.
In this role, you will also be responsible for supervising works, keeping records, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation. You will ensure that all work recorded is approved prior to execution and document any mishaps such as delays or industrial disputes. Regular site meetings will be attended, and other site supervisory staff will be alerted to any matters affecting their work.
Key Responsibilities:
* On-site supervision of construction stage and ensuring contractors carry out works in accordance with design.
* Ensuring works are constructed as required and organizing adequate supervision of construction works on-site.
* Reporting to Employer's Representative.
* Coordinating Contract interfaces with respect to the works.
* Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on same.
* Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed.
* Assessment of Contractor submissions including method statements and preparation of clear comments.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a degree in Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification in Engineering.
1. Have a satisfactory knowledge of civil engineering works, building construction, and project management.
2. Have at least 3 years' experience working as Site Manager or as a Resident Engineer with a proven ability to deliver results.
3. Detailed experience in the delivery of residential projects.
4. Direct experience in project management and good knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations
5. Excellent Communication skills and high attention to detail
6. Highly motivated and self-driven
Apart from these qualifications, we are looking for a driven proactive solutions & results-focused team player who can adapt to new challenges. Experience in project and development management skillset, contractual, commercial and financial aspects of development projects, building & managing stakeholder relationships, technical knowledge - an understanding of technical principles, construction buildability, technical solutions value engineering would be advantageous. A full clean driving license is required due to some site travel involved.
