Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist
Responsibilities:
In order to feed into the
Planning Permission process
for
Renewable Energy projects
you will have experience of : -
Leading the (EIA) process for large-scale Renewable Energy projects, including delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) & (AA/NIS).
Provide environmental expertise to
support the Planning Team
& inform business strategy, ensuring compliance with planning and environmental regulations.
Stay updated on changes in
planning/environmental legislation, policies, & development plans.
Contribute to company submissions as needed.
Assist the stakeholder and advocacy team in developing communication & consultation plans with local communities & stakeholders.
Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist in procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with H&S & Environmental policies, & relevant EU & National regulations.
Mentor and assist junior staff, particularly in EIA and AA processes.
Participate in performance management to achieve team objectives.
Requirements:
Hons Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Postgraduate qualification is a plus.
5+ years' experience leading EIAR & AA/NIS
planning preparation
for large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of the
EIA process & Irish planning policy/legislation is essential
Experience in r
enewables or related infrastructure projects
is desirable; technical expertise in disciplines like ecology, noise, or air quality is a plus .
Experience with
planning projects
of varying priorities, risk profiles, & timelines is beneficial.
You need to have gained your experience in EIAR, AA/NIS within Ireland or the European Union to be considered.
