Job Title: Process Improvement & Project Engineer
Reporting to the CEO, this role involves designing, developing, and optimising manufacturing processes to unlock capacity, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Documentation & Barrier Identification: Lead the effort to document barriers to growth and operational inefficiencies within current production lines.
* Process Design: Work closely with the R&D & Engineering teams to design sustainable processes aligned with future business needs.
* Process Optimisation & Capacity Mgt.: Conduct in-depth analysis of current production processes to identify capacity constraints, inefficiencies, and develop strategies to resolve them.
* Continuous Improvement: Promote and drive the company's continuous improvement programme using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and principles.
* Project Mgt.: Lead process improvement projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring effective execution of process optimisation initiatives.
Requirements
* 3-5 years in process Eng or Operations management within manuf., ideally in the food industry.
* BSc/BA in a Business-related discipline, ideally.
* Exp. with automation tech, digital manufacturing, data-driven process optimisation.
* Strong operational, commercial awareness, sound judgment, and decision-making capability.
* Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis, and process reengineering.
* In-depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of Food Safety, H&S, and Env. Compliance.
* Lean Manuf. principles and CI methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving ability for mech and process-related challenges.
* Exceptional stakeholder mgt. skills, inc. exp. work with employees, customers, auditors, and vendors/contractors.
