The Capital Markets Europe team offers specialized debt and capital markets administration services to institutional clients.
This role involves working closely with senior client accountants and management to provide accounting and financial services for capital market transactions. It suits an ambitious, energetic accountant eager to progress in a dynamic, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and maintaining general ledgers for clients, including transaction research and assessing accounting treatments for SPVs.
* Posting journal entries and maintaining up-to-date accounting records for SPVs.
* Preparing annual statutory financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
* Liaising with auditors to produce audited financial statements within deadlines.
* Preparing routine management accounts and other deliverables.
* Filing quarterly regulatory returns with the Central Bank of Ireland.
* Preparing and filing VAT, Corporation Tax returns, and iXBRL financials.
* Resolving technical accounting issues through collaboration.
* Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies.
* Gaining knowledge of various capital markets structures and products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or financial services.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with some audit experience.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Team player with problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented, conscientious, and diligent.
* Professional and enthusiastic demeanor.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
