Quality Assurance Leader
This role is a key part of the Quality function, supporting the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS). The QMS encompasses processes for implementing HACCP and GMP.
The Deputy Quality Manager will be the primary contact during audits, inspections and customer visits. This includes serving as a liaison with external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, company requirements and customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
* Serving as a member of the Quality Team in leadership positions when senior management is unavailable.
* Performing internal audits to assess compliance with established procedures.
* Leading investigations into non-compliances, customer complaints and product quality issues.
* Collaborating with Production, Engineering and R&D teams to enhance product quality standards.
* Managing traceability systems and Pest Control Programs, including training on pest prevention and leading regular inspections.
* Overseeing the Cleaning and Hygiene Program, ensuring effective schedules and documentation, validating cleaning processes through swabbing and conducting regular inspections.
* Recruiting, training and developing a team of Quality Assurance staff.
* Strengthening food safety culture and contributing to food defense activities.
