Senior Service Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Manager to lead our services in Kildare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading and managing services that support people with physical / intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs. You will provide strong strategic, professional and managerial leadership for all aspects of service operations, including planning, developing and implementing strategies, monitoring and managing operational performance, and overseeing the delivery of compliance standards for residential and day services across the organisation.
* Provide strategic leadership and drive organisational development in line with Board and Senior Management direction.
* Lead the implementation of change initiatives and national improvement plans.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of person-centred service delivery.
* Promote a shared organisational vision and values grounded in best practices and person-centred care.
* Manage performance, budgets, and KPIs across all operational areas.
* Ensure compliance with evolving legislation, safeguarding standards, and quality frameworks.
* Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and service users.
* Provide professional leadership at internal and external meetings, including representation at strategic forums.
* Chair and participate in case conferences, audits, and investigations as required.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A master's degree relevant to this role: social care, social work, management or related.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong team management experience, including rotas and on-call responsibilities.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in senior management position within health or social care.
* Have a minimum of two years' experience working in the disability sector.
* Qualification or related in People Management.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload effectively.
* Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance.
