We are working with a leading state body who are seeking an Insurance Advisor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across insurance, risk management, and business continuity planning within a large-scale energy business. The role offers strong professional development, engagement with senior stakeholders, and a chance to work on high-value, strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the placement, renewal, and management of the company's insurance portfolio, covering property, liability, cyber, and other specialist policies.
* Manage end-to-end claims processes, liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, legal teams, and internal stakeholders, and provide claims analysis to support risk improvements.
* Assist in maintaining and reporting on the organisation's risk registers, dashboards, and overall risk management processes.
* Support the development and execution of Business Continuity Plans, including Business Impact Assessments and scenario planning exercises.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external providers, ensuring compliance with insurance, risk, and business continuity policies.
Key Skills:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in insurance, risk, and business continuity management, ideally within the energy or utilities sector.
* Strong understanding of insurance programmes, claims management, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Knowledge of market developments, emerging risks, and key market participants in the energy sector.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare reports for senior management and auditors.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with internal teams, insurers, brokers, and other external providers.
