About The Role
We are seeking an experienced software developer to help us develop desktop applications that enable our customers to evaluate and configure our products. This role is ideal for an individual who can communicate effectively with the team to identify solutions and then implement those solutions independently. The role includes everything from working with USB devices via an API or Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), architecting and implementing business logic as well as implementing the UI using the Model View ViewModel (MVVM) paradigm.
Key Responsibilities
Build new functionality that enables configuration of new hardware for customers and internal engineers
Contribute to the development of our modern cross-platform desktop evaluation environment, through 1.0 release and beyond
Partner with domain experts to develop hardware-specific plug-ins and support a collaborative plug-in ecosystem built on core framework capabilities
Identify problems with the team, design solutions, and implement them with quality and maintainability in mind
Work across architecture, business logic, and UI implementation to deliver reliable, polished user experiences
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience developing products using C# (or equivalent object-oriented language with substantial C# proficiency)
Experience implementing MVVM using modern UI frameworks such as WPF, Avalonia, or MAUI (cross-platform experience is a bonus)
Strong knowledge of Git, including common merge strategies and practical debugging skills
Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and deliver independently with a high level of ownership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ReactiveExtensions and/or ReactiveUI
CI/CD using GitHub Actions
Development on Mac or Linux, including packaging/deployment to Mac or Linux environments
Working with hardware connectivity patterns (USB APIs, HALs) and related troubleshooting
