I have a brand new opportunity with a financial services client of mine based in Dublin City Centre. This role will be a 6 month initial day rate contract with a requirement to be onsite 3 days a week.Skills10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture roles.Strong hands‑on experience with Angular (v10+) and Node.js (v12+).Proven delivery of microservices on AWS ECS/FargateDeep AWS knowledge.Strong documentation skills (HLD/LLD, API specs, sequence diagrams).CI/CD experienceSolid understanding of security (OWASP, OAuth2/OIDC/JWT, WAF, least privilege).Key ResponsibilitiesDefine architecture for Angular SPAs, Node.js microservices, and AWS ECS/Fargate workloads.Design AWS multi‑account environments (networking, IAM, ECR, container standards).Establish patterns for API Gateway, service discovery, config management, and event‑driven integrations (EventBridge/SQS/SNS).Shape CI/CD pipelines and define observability (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards).Build cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.Optimise for resilience, scalability, cost, and security (least privilege, secrets management).Guide Angular architecture (modularity, NgRx, routing, accessibility, performance).Architect integrations with insurance systems, pricing engines, payments, CRM/ERP, data lakes, and aggregators.Set testing strategies (unit, component, contract, E2E, non‑functional) and support data migration.Ensure GDPR, PCI/PII, audit, retention, and traceability compliance.Define reference data, rating/underwriting rules, and document lifecycle flows.For more info, reach out to - imran.jiwo@nicollcurtin.com
