Overview
Our client – a highly successful, Irish-headquartered organisation undergoing rapid global expansion – is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Finance Professional to lead their Global Accounts Payable operations.
This is a pivotal role within the finance function, offering genuine career progression, strategic impact, and the opportunity to build a high-performing AP function with global reach.
As Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the end-to-end Accounts Payable strategy, leading a team across multiple jurisdictions, and supporting the integration of a new offshore finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee global Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments across all entities.
* Standardise and optimise AP processes across regions, embedding automation and best-in-class workflows.
* Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, IT) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of financial operations.
* Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing AP team, including the integration of a new shared services unit in India.
* Manage key global supplier relationships, ensuring effective issue resolution, reconciliations, and service delivery.
* Drive a continuous improvement culture with a strong focus on compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
* Monitor KPIs, service levels, and reporting to ensure operational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate
* 10+ years’ experience in finance operations or shared services, with a proven track record in Accounts Payable leadership.
* Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity or global finance teams.
* Strong ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite highly desirable).
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
* Passion for process improvement, systems optimisation, and driving automation.
* Solid understanding of regulatory and tax requirements (e.g., VAT, RCT, Withholding Tax).
* Proven leadership skills – capable of coaching, developing, and inspiring teams.
