Cybersecurity Officer Location: Dublin Employment Type: Full-Time | Competitive Salary Our client is a well-established organisation in the professional services sector that is looking for a Cybersecurity Officer to enhance its security. The Role As a Cybersecurity Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the organisation's systems, networks, and data from outside threats. You will collaborate closely with senior members of the security team to design, implement, and maintain security controls and architecture. The role involves both hands-on technical work and strategic oversight to ensure the organisation remains resilient, compliant, and secure. Key Responsibilities implement and monitor security measures for systems and networks. Identify and define system security requirements Cyber security/ security architecture Prep and follow standard operating procedures Develop solutions and new security tools to help reduce vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Education CISSP or CISM certification and other security qualifications. Qualifications in Azure/O365 Any other security-related qualifications are welcome. Desirable / Advantageous: CCSP, CEH, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Experience Practical experience strengthening Microsoft cloud ecosystems, including Azure and Microsoft 365, with a focus on identity, data, and access security. Strong grasp of modern web and network environments, including application security, APIs, and distributed architectures. Proven ability to develop, integrate, and sustain security infrastructure aligned with organisational risk objectives. Up to date on current cybersecurity methods, standards, and defensive strategies. Knowledgeable about key compliance and regulatory domains such as financial data protection and digital operational resilience standards (e.g., DORA, PCI, EIOPA). Familiar with recognised governance and security control frameworks used in enterprise environments.
