Compliance Team Lead – Carrick-on-Shannon
Our client, an innovative financial services company are seeking a Compliance Team Lead to join their growing team in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim on a Full-Time permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with management and play a role in the design, development, management and oversight of the Company's Compliance Management Framework. The position would suit a person experienced in Compliance ideally with experience within the financial services sector who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a growing organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the compliance team responsible for companies' compliance queries.
* Submit reporting requirements to third-party service providers as required.
* Oversee the quarterly reporting to partner companies and the complaints process.
* Review and update both the Internal company policies and policies provided to Credit Unions.
* Complete the Annual Due Diligence.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of the compliance framework for the company.
* Provide oversight, monitoring, and independent challenge of processes to ensure compliance with policies.
* Identification of emerging changes to legal and regulatory requirements.
* Providing reports to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on ongoing activities and identifying on-going improvements to the compliance framework.
* Performing any other reasonable task assigned by the CCO.
* Work collaboratively as part of a great team to contribute to overall project goals.
The successful candidate should ideally have the following attributes:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a monitoring or compliance role in a financial services organisation. A relevant qualification would be a distinct advantage.
* Experience managing or leading a team.
* Knowledge of Irish financial services' regulatory framework, legal and regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
* Ability to work with initiative and as part of an agile team and independently within a team environment.
