We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen our finance function, ensuringaccuratereporting, robust controls, and high-quality financial insight that supports our expanding global operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts for multiple group entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
Assume responsibility for balance sheet control reconciliations and trialbalancesacrossgroup companies.
Management of intercompanyreconciliations, including inter-corecharges and transfer pricing calculations.
Process/managesupplierpayments, includingreconciliation ofasupplier accounts.
Analysis of project spend, accruals, andWIP, working closelywith theprojectmanagers and operations teams to ensureaccuratecost capture and margin visibility.
Support the Financial Controller in the preparation, monitoring, and review of budgets and forecasts,with particular focus on project timing and working capital.
Assistwith the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit queries.
Ensurecompliancewith external reporting requirements including RCT, VAT, Intrastat, VIES &CSO/NationalStatistics.
Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and streamline finance workflows.
Supervise and support members of the finance team, ensuringhigh standardsof accuracy and accountability.
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within a project-based manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, accruals, and WIP.
Advanced Excel skills essential; experience with SAPBy Designor similar ERP systems desirable.
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Collaborative with a flexible approach to work and a positive outlook
Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience supervising and directing finance teams.
