The Opportunity In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect our reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent.

We are seeking to appoint a Pursuits and Bids Consultant to join our MCBD function.
The Pursuits and Bids Consultant provides professional input into Arup's regional work winning activities in the development and management of pursuits, bids and pitches.
The pursuits and bids team in each Geography provides professional support for Arup's work winning activities in the development and management of pursuits and bids.
It is part of the MCBD team within Business and Markets spanning the [Geography, Portfolio, or Geography - Portfolio].
The consultant will coordinate and support pursuits and bids as part of proposal teams and may support other client-specific Business Development related activities.
The work requires a strong understanding of the Arup value proposition and our services, the industry and markets in which we work, and the clients and collaborators we work with and our people delivering the work.
Key responsibilities: Support tender processes of varying scales and complexity, including bid scheduling, compliance, and document production, contributing to sophisticated, consistent and highly focused bids and offers.
Coordinate content for Arup's bid and pitch documents.
Coordinate tender process or portions of the tender process to support the bid development and delivery plan, work could include bid scheduling, compliance checks, and document development and production.
Liaise with technical teams, schedulers, project managers and other contributors within the business to ensure timely development and delivery of information required to meet internal and external (pursuit) deadlines and priorities Clients and Market focus Develop an understanding of the Arup-specific value propositions and opportunity-specific win strategies.
Support bid and opportunity research to support positioning activities CRM and Systems Support accurate and appropriate CRM use including data integrity throughout the bid lifecycle.
Contribute to bid and other collateral, proposal master file templates and similar resources.
Liaise with collateral/knowledge team to contribute to and maintain marketing system materials on SharePoint / essentials pages including bid collateral, proposal master files templates and other government forms, to support bidding best practice and efficiency.
Knowledgeable in the use of best practice tools, templates and resources to support effective pursuits and bidding to enhance effectiveness across the wider business.
Is this role right for you?
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing.
+3-5 years' experience working in pursuits and bids in the AEC industry or similar.
Experience in working with high-performing pursuit teams.
Experience of bidding lifecycle and bid delivery at Country/Office level.
Experience in document management and in working to company brand standards Knowledge of AEC bidding and procurement methods.
Working with the technical staff and within a broader marketing, communications and business development team to ensure quality and consistency in all proposal/qualification documents.
Use of CRM database.
Strong time management / prioritisation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM pipeline management systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Able to work in a highly collaborative and inclusive environment with peers, leaders and other stakeholders.
