The role
Healthcare Assistant (Personal Assistant)
Location: Kanturk, Newmarket, Banteer, Millstreet, North Cork.
Employment
Part‑time, 15 hours per week, permanent contract.
Required Availability
Monday to Friday 9am–6pm and occasional Saturdays.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The role is to enable members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by providing assistance in personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational support, travel, and companionship. Care is delivered in members’ homes and communities.
Liaison
Coordinate with other home carers and maintain close communication with the ALS Coordinator and scheduling staff.
Qualifications & Experience
QQI Level 5 in Health Care discipline including Intellectual Disability module, or equivalent.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle – essential.
Previous experience working with intellectual disabilities and epileptic seizures – desired.
Kind, caring attitude with a person‑centred approach.
Use of personal smart phone to check in/out of visits – essential.

What We Offer
Salary: €16.21 – €18.03 per hour, depending on experience.
Before 8am and after 8pm – €20.26 per hour.
Sunday – €24.32 per hour.
Public holidays – €32.42 per hour.
