Head Chef Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Derg Inn in Terryglass, Nenagh Co. Tipperary.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned chef with a passion for delivering exceptional cuisine in a busy bar and gastro pub restaurant environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Menu writing and development to ensure high-quality dishes are offered to our customers.
* Cooking food to order, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
* Supervising kitchen service, including staff management and training to maintain high levels of efficiency and productivity.
* Ordering and inventory management to minimize waste and optimize kitchen resources.
* Maintaining kitchen health and hygiene standards, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience as a chef, preferably in a similar role.
* Proven experience in professional cookery, kitchen supervision, and kitchen health and hygiene procedures.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
