Job Title: Electrical Contracts Manager
Location: Athlone & Surrounding Areas
Sector: Electrical Contracting – Industrial/Pharmaceutical Projects
Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage multiple high-value electrical installations across a range of complex industrial projects in the Athlone region. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, commercially astute, and capable of delivering projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to final handover.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and on-site teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
* Coordinate site operations, supervising project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
* Manage procurement of materials, labour, and services in line with project requirements.
* Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all project sites.
* Drive project planning and resource scheduling using industry-standard tools.
* Conduct regular site inspections and attend progress meetings.
* Prepare and review project documentation including technical submittals, RAMS, and O&M manuals.
* Monitor project variations, valuations, and change orders to ensure accurate commercial reporting.
* Support pre-construction activities including estimating, tender reviews, and project planning.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or similar leadership role within the electrical contracting sector.
* Strong track record of managing industrial or process-driven electrical projects, ideally in a highly regulated environment.
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., Qualified Electrician, Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Building Services).
* In-depth understanding of electrical systems, installations, and industrial project delivery.
* Excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety standards.
* Effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
* Experience working on projects with cleanroom, process, or pharmaceutical environments.
* Familiarity with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera.
* Knowledge of BIM/Revit and digital construction tools.
