Key Responsibilities
Support the project manager(s) in the successful delivery of the projects in their totality in compliance with all safety standards
Management of project interfaces such as procurement (including tender negotiations), design, free issue material, power cables, telecoms etc
Support Design and Engineering teams with inspections of plant and materials and works on site, to ensure technical specifications are met and monitor progress against the contract. At certain stages of progress of works more frequent attendance on site may be a requirement.
Contractor engagement including the monitoring of contractor progress and validation of progress payments, providing monthly progress reports and managing schedules
Preparation / coordination of technical schedules, price schedules and other documents required to complete packs of enquiry documents, against which tenderers will submit proposals.
Experience and Qualifications
Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience is essential
Five or more years’ experience.
A proven track record in delivering engineering projects and project management.
Experience of dealing with construction contractors to ensure that they deliver to specified requirements.
Good knowledge of the PSDP/CDMC and PSCS processes.
Competent understanding of key elements of construction management.
Hold a full driving license and have access to a car.
General
This position will be based in our Dublin city centre office at the Sidings, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2 or in our Eastgate office in Cork. Travel to site nationwide will be an important part of this role.
