The Business Support Coordinator is a brand new role providing structured, proactive, and coordinated support to the Head of Operations. The role plays a key part in enabling the effective delivery of operational, facilities, compliance, IT, and marketing activities across the business, acting as a central coordination point between head office, branches, and external providers.
Key responsibilities include:
· Provide day-to-day coordination and business support to the Head of Operations across all operational areas.
· Support the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing coordination of operational processes designed to improve efficiency and consistency across branches.
· Coordinate facilities-related activities by acting as a central point for information, documentation, and communication between branches, contractors, and third parties.
· Log maintenance issues, obtain relevant information from branches, and track progress of remedial works to completion.
· Act as the business support coordination point for IT matters, supporting the Head of Operations in managing IT requirements.
· Coordinate IT onboarding for new starters, including equipment, system access, and telecoms arrangements.
· Liaise with third-party IT providers to log issues, monitor resolution progress, and escalate matters where required.
· Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, licences, and system access.
· Provide coordination and business support for marketing initiatives aligned to business objectives.
· Assist with planning and delivery of branch-level marketing activities and promotions.
· Coordinate the distribution of marketing materials to branches, supporting brand consistency.
· Maintain marketing schedules and support basic tracking and reporting of campaign activity
· Support the coordination and administration of health & safety, GDPR, insurance, and other compliance-related documentation.
· Maintain records for fire safety, first aid, waste disposal, and other statutory requirements.
The person
Essential
· Proven experience in a business support, coordination, administration, or operations support role.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and priorities.
· Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with branch teams, contractors, and suppliers.
· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and business systems.
· High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
· Full driving licence.
Desirable
· Experience supporting operational, facilities, or compliance functions.
· Experience coordinating IT support or working with external IT providers.
Exposure to marketing support activities within a multi-site or service-based organisation.
