We are seeking an experienced Office & Supply Chain Manager to lead a critical function at the heart of our business.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of our office, warehouse, and order processing activities.
The role will suit a strong people leader who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and accountability to fast-moving operational environments.
Success in this role will be measured by a well-structured, clearly accountable team, efficient and accurate order flow, and strong cross-functional collaboration across the business.
Scope of the role
The Office & Supply Chain Manager has full departmental responsibility for:
Warehouse operations and local deliveries
Purchasing administration and supplier ordering
Customer order processing and internal order flow
Reception and front-of-house activities
Office facilities and day-to-day office functioning
The role leads a multi-disciplinary team of 9 people (10 including this position), comprising warehouse staff, delivery drivers, purchasing officers, order processing staff, and reception support.
The function supports a significant operational volume within MSC, including approximately €12 million in annual product sales *****) across almost 4,000 product lines and 448,000 individual SKUs delivered to customers.
This is a key operational leadership role responsible for ensuring high volumes of customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that internal workflows operate with clarity, consistency, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Department leadership
Act as Head of Department for Office & Supply Chain
Provide clear leadership, direction, and structure across all team functions
Establish and maintain clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
Address performance and personnel matters fairly, consistently, and in a timely manner
Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence on a day-to-day basis; this is a fully office-based role at our Dublin 15 head office
Supply chain and warehouse management
Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely purchasing, goods receipt, storage, and dispatch
Oversee local delivery operations and interfaces with third-party couriers
Maintain appropriate stock control, accuracy, and visibility
Ensure warehouse practices support safety, quality, and service levels
Take ownership of office and facilities-related activities and ensure they are effectively managed
Order processing and internal interfaces
Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and promptly
Improve clarity and consistency in handovers between Sales, Office & Supply Chain, Service, Operations & Quality, and Accounts
Reduce delays caused by missing or unclear information
Act as a senior escalation point for cross-departmental interface issues
Cross-functional leadership
Work closely with:
Operations & Quality on SAP-related dependencies, pricing setup, and master data
Sales on order intake quality and handover discipline
Service on interfaces affecting deliveries, spares, and installations
Accounts on purchasing controls, accuracy, and cost visibility
Build strong working relationships across the business while maintaining clear departmental accountability
Candidate Profile
Essential
Proven experience leading a multi-disciplinary operations, office, or supply chain team
Strong people management capability, including setting clear expectations and addressing performance issues effectively
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise across multiple workflows and competing demands
Experience analysing workload, team structure, or resourcing using a data-led approach
Ability to establish clear processes, ownership, and accountability across teams
Confident working cross-functionally and resolving issues between departments
Strong decision-making ability, with sound judgement and consistency
Professional, fair, and credible leadership style
Comfortable operating in a fully office-based, on-site leadership role
Desirable
Experience in a distribution, logistics, or technical product environment
Experience overseeing warehouse or stock-controlled operations
Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar)
Experience evaluating or implementing operational systems (e.g. warehouse management systems)
Experience managing office facilities or workplace infrastructure
Formal qualification in supply chain, operations management, or business management
