We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to join our team in Wicklow.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all HSQE management systems, processes, and company safety standards.
Oversee site teams, including Construction Managers, Engineers, Supervisors/Foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
Plan and manage construction operations to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality targets.
Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
Liaise with the HSQE department to co-ordinate training requirements.
Identify and manage required resources, including manpower, plant, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
Work with the purchasing department to ensure purchase orders and supplier agreements meet project specifications.
Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
Attend and contribute to client and stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear communication and progress updates.
Interpret and manage contract documents, including client-supplied information.
Co-ordinate both temporary and permanent works design and ensure relevant certifications are in place.
Monitor site progress, prepare reports, and update the Regional Director on programme, finance, HSQE, risks, and opportunities.
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, valuations, and progress reports in collaboration with the project QS.
Ensure all changes to specifications, scope, or drawings are documented and communicated in line with contract obligations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and new opportunities.
Provide feedback to head office on current and completed projects in line with company procedures.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Membership of a recognised professional institution (Chartered or working towards Chartership desirable).
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Site Agent role (or equivalent senior site management position).
Full, clean Irish/EU/UK driver's licence.
Eligibility to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Visa required if non-EU).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to budget.
