By providing a high level of benefit coverage at a reasonable cost to the employee, we hope to foster a long and productive employment relationship.Summary:The purpose of this position is to coordinate with outside processes to ensure all materials enter shipping promptly,enabling efficient load building and supporting loading activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Directs movement of shipments from shipping and inventory areas to shipping locations by work orderCompiles records on incomplete orders using BPCS and ADCReview daily schedules for load size destination and carrier accuracyPrepares bills of lading and packing list.Loading and unloading of packages up to at least 70 lbs.Communicates and coordinates with appropriate packing departments, shipping personnel, and productionplanners OMC.Submits proper documents and notifications to carriersCoordinate with loading and sorting team leads on missing or damaged materialMust be able to operate a fork truck and yard truck (preferred)Education/Experience:High School diploma/GED (minimum)Have a good understanding of BPCS & ADC systemsGood communications and computer skillsAbility to add & subtract, multiply, divide.Knowledge of inventory procedures and transactionsAbility to carry out detail written or oral instructionsForklift and material handling experienceBe vigilant about safetyQuality - conscious, oriented to excellenceTravel Requirements:The travel required for this position is 1%.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfullyperform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Proper lifting techniques required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk orhear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters whileperforming the essential functions of this job. An individual may be required to wear appropriate safety protectiveequipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as outlined by safety program rules. The noise levelin the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposedto work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
