Deli Manager Job Mayo
A leading progressive Food Retailer with a chain of shops across Mayo and Munster is hiring for one of its busiest sites, within driving distance from Foxford, Co Mayo.
You will be responsible for leading a team of 5-7 staff within the department, mainly working early shifts, but a fair and flexible roster is in place.
This is a busy operation, very fast paced, with lots of footfall both during the week and weekends. This role requires a manager who thrives on being busy, leads with a hands-on style, has a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn back office management.
Salary will be dictated based on suitable candidates' experience, between 35,000 - 37,000 per year, on a 43 hour contract.
Full flexibility is required including weekends, but typically early shifts.
The ideal candidate for this Deli Manager Job
* Previous management experience working with fresh food, ordering stock, accountable for waste, profits and budgets; 1-2 years supervisor, senior deli staff member or manager will be considered.
* Excellent customer service
* Strong organisational skills, a good communicator, able to work with people, and motivate teams under you
* Able to work both in a team and on own initiative, good problem-solving abilities, thrives under pressure
* Excellent understanding of food safety and HACCP management, passing audits, etc.
Responsibilities for this Deli Manager Job
* Oversee the running of a busy deli, bakery, coffee dock, kitchen area, and seating area.
* Responsible for up to 7 staff members, organising the workload, directing work, and ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
* Proper management of stock ordering
* Correct management of hygiene and HACCP records
* Maintaining the standards in line with company policies.
* Responsible for ensuring your team is trained to a high level following company protocol
