Speech and Language Therapist
We are currently seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Longford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for assessing and delivering speech, language, and communication interventions tailored to the needs of each child and their family. Working collaboratively with parents, educators, and other professionals, you’ll help children achieve meaningful goals in everyday communication and participation.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
* Provide assessment and intervention for a range of communication and feeding difficulties
* Work as part of an interdisciplinary team using a family-centred practice model
* Support care planning, goal setting, and progress monitoring
* Engage in team meetings, supervision, and service development activities
Essential Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
* CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
* Strong interest and/or experience in paediatric disability services
* Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
Desirable:
* Experience working within a CDNT or similar interdisciplinary setting
* Training in approaches such as Lámh, AAC, Hanen, or feeding/dysphagia (if applicable)
