This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.About This Role: As a key member of Udemy’s design leadership team, you will lead the design of our Instructor Portfolio across web and mobile, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt UX to regional requirements globally. You will visualize and prototype the next generation of Udemy product features while mentoring your team to scale our vision.Your work will champion the needs of learners and instructors, collaborating with product managers, researchers, engineers, marketers, content strategists, and top instructors to deliver simple, elegant, user-friendly features across platforms.ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on design leadership across Udemy’s Instructor design team to maximize impact for instructors, customers, and learners globally.Collaborate with design peers to drive a coherent, visually appealing, and high-performing UX across all platforms.Simplify complex problems using advanced UX strategies to create high-performing design solutions.Document and operationalize design solutions to enable efficient scaling.Contribute to design processes and internal project planning for Udemy’s product design team.Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless introduction of new products and features with exceptional user experiences.Own and advocate for the design and experience vision of Udemy products.Qualifications & SkillsStrong communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Leadership and mentorship abilities with experience guiding design teams.Adaptability and learning agility in dynamic environments.Problem-solving and critical thinking with a structured, analytical approach.Fluency in spoken and written English.What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in UX, product design, and visual design for web and mobile products.5+ years of experience leading design teams, mentoring, and fostering growth.Strong design taste with experience across video, mobile, and, ideally, game design.
