Job Title: Junior Buyer

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Buyer to join our Buying Team in Co. Cork. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing product and pricing data, ensuring supplier catalogues are accurate, and assisting with promotions and e-commerce updates.
* Maintain and update supplier catalogues and pricing information by gathering and verifying data from suppliers.
* Process approved price changes in a timely manner to ensure seamless execution.
* Respond promptly to product-related queries from store management, providing accurate and helpful solutions.
* Support e-commerce efforts by updating product details and prices online to reflect current market conditions.
* Monitor stock levels, especially for core and seasonal items, to prevent overstocking or understocking.
* Create and maintain supplier margin reports to inform purchasing decisions.
* Benchmark prices and products against competitors to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
* Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and other business documents to communicate findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in a buying or purchasing role.
* A relevant qualification in purchasing or business administration, such as a diploma or degree.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
* Experience with business intelligence tools is an advantage, but not necessary.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* The ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
