You will have responsibility for identifying new business opportunities within a targeted and specified market segment and tasked to create strong long-term customer relationships. You will be proactive, self-motivated and enjoy the challenge of promoting unique concepts to a targeted, vibrant and growing sector of the market. The ideal candidate should have experience working with interior designers, architects and contractors.More information on our products and services can be found on our websiteMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop business with existing and new clients including; designers, architects, building contractors and developers.Promote Armatile's unique design and manufacturing service to existing and new clientsIdentify and exploit market opportunities.Organise regular sales/technical presentations to clients.Liaise closely with marketing, design, production and administration teams to fully develop and exploit sales opportunitiesLiaise with marketing and sales teams to devise effective marketing strategies and improve existing marketing techniquesSet and achieve sales targetsAttend sales presentations, networking events and trade exhibitionsFormally report to Managing Director at least once a month, to present data with regard to sales won/lost, quotations given, work in progress, competitor activity, sales and business opportunities and other relevant business informationMaintain project and company databases.Submit reports to time deadlines.Essential CriteriaKnowledge and experience of the specification market in relation to a construction related product or serviceFull clean driving licenseIT skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMust be self-motivated, organised and have good interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively on your own as well as part of a dynamic creative teamAbility to problem solve and be creative when dealing with customers and co-workersDemonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities and the ability to win salesMust be flexible to work when and where requiredDESIRABLE CRITERIADesign qualification or experience working in a design environmentEducated to degree level or equivalentExperience of sales in the tile industry or related industry, e.g. wooden flooring, carpets, vinyl etc.
