Your mission
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (4 hours per day)
Total Hours: 20 hours per week
Job Purpose:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the premises by carrying out a range of routine and ad hoc cleaning duties. This position is critical to ensuring the premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness each evening.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean, dust, and sanitize surfaces including desks, counters, and communal touchpoints.
* Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout designated areas.
* Empty bins and replace liners.
* Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and washroom areas.
* Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
* Clean kitchenettes and staff break areas.
* Follow specific cleaning schedules for deeper cleaning tasks (e.g., windows, skirting boards).
* Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor or site manager.
* Comply with health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements.
Your profile
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Previous cleaning experience in commercial, office, or public buildings.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Good timekeeping and reliability.
* Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Basic English communication skills for understanding instructions and signage.
Additional Information:
* This role involves working independently after regular business hours.
* Cleaning supplies and storage areas will be provided on site.
* The successful candidate may be subject to background checks if required by the client or location.
