Sr. Software Engineer, Generative AI

Role Overview
As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Generative AI team, you will be responsible for building and supporting enterprise-grade applications that leverage emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to create process efficiencies and deliver business value. You will own complex technical components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while continuously learning and growing toward leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using best practices.
* Own technical components and ensure maintainability, quality, security, and performance.
* Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
* Create effective automated tests and ensure high test coverage.
* Break down high-level requirements into small, testable, releasable components.
* Provide support for critical applications running in production, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
* Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively suggest improvements.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and fun team environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* 7+ years' experience in software development with strong full-stack and DevOps skills.
* Proficiency in Git, Python & Python packaging (pip, Poetry, virtual environments) and Front-End technologies, particularly
* Experience with Azure Cloud and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
* Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
* Experience with REST APIs, authentication and authorization frameworks.
* Database expertise (SQL, ORMs, Postgres, MySQL; relational and non-relational).
* Understanding of software development security fundamentals.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred/Advantageous Experience
* Azure AI services and Generative AI (LLMs).
* Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
* Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Bash).
* Microsoft Copilot and related AI productivity tools
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
