As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the financial and contractual aspects of multiple high-value projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure each scheme is delivered efficiently and profitably. In this role, you will operate as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, providing commercial leadership, managing cost plans and budgets, and supporting our continued commitment to value, innovation, and sustainability. This position is ideal for someone looking to further develop their expertise as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor while contributing to the successful delivery of complex building services projects. You will be a key part of our commercial team and will continue to grow your capabilities as a recognised Mechanical Quantity Surveyor within the business. Responsibilities: Manage all commercial and contractual elements of projects from tender stage through to final account. Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, variations, and project forecasts. Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, and contract administration. Support project delivery teams with accurate cost reporting and financial guidance. Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation. Ensure all work complies with company procedures and relevant legislation. Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline. 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within mechanical building services or M&E contracting. Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills. A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong IT proficiency (Excel, estimating and cost management software).
