We are looking for a co-founder to join us to launch an innovative new music industry venture.
You will be involved in every aspect of launching a new artist: strategy, release planning, marketing, A&R, touring, merchandise, partnerships etc.
The ideal candidate will have an existing network on contacts in the industry.
They will be based in London, New York or LA.
They will be able to prove to us that they are a focused business operator who can network, hustle and negotiate.
Position Overview You will act as the primary representative, business strategist, and advocate for our artists.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of an artist's career, from business negotiations and team coordination to brand development and long-term career planning.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our artists can focus on their creative output while their professional interests are expertly managed.
Key Responsibilities Act as the main spokesperson and public representative for the artist, handling media inquiries, partnership offers, and public appearances on their behalf.
Build, coordinate, and lead the artist's team, including booking agents, publicists, legal advisors, and other industry professionals.
Negotiate contracts with record labels, producers, promoters, and other business partners, ensuring favorable terms for the artist.
Oversee and schedule live performances, tours, and promotional events, working closely with booking agents and venues to maximize exposure and revenue.
Develop and execute marketing, branding, and promotional strategies across social media, press, and digital platforms to grow the artist's audience and maintain a positive public image.
Manage the artist's finances, including budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring timely payment for performances, royalties, and endorsements.
Advise on artistic direction and career development, helping the artist set short- and long-term goals and connecting them with collaborators and industry opportunities.
Coordinate the release of music, music videos, and merchandise, ensuring all projects align with the artist's brand and career objectives.
Handle day-to-day administration, including organizing schedules, travel arrangements, and managing communications with the artist's team and external partners.
Oversee public relations and crisis management, maintaining the artist's reputation and addressing any issues that arise in the public eye.
Required Skills and Qualifications In-depth knowledge of the music industry, including current trends, business models, and key players.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in marketing, branding, and digital promotion.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
Leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of coordinating diverse professionals.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
