About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Analog Circuit Design Engineer to join our team in Ireland. As an MTS level designer, you will work on high-speed SerDes products up to 200+Gbps using the latest CMOS FinFET nodes.
Your expertise will be utilized in the design and verification of analog circuits and systems, including:
* High-speed (100GSps+) data converters for signal recovery and transmit signal conditioning
* Continuous Time Equalizers with programmable gain and bandwidth up to 60+GHz
* Wide-range, low-noise PLLs operating up to 20+GHz
* Injection Locked Oscillators for multi-phase clock generation
* High-speed clock distribution and correction circuits
* Custom Digital circuits for data serialization
* High-speed wired channel termination and driver circuits
You will collaborate with a world-class team to develop SerDes solutions that enable future connectivity of AMD CPU, GPU, and FPGA products.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience in analog circuit design and verification
* Familiarity with layout floor-planning, layout-dependent effects, and post-layout verification
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Analog circuit design of different circuits related to SerDes phy development
* Verification of circuit designs to ensure functional, performance, and reliability targets are achieved
* Communication with SerDes circuit team members at other sites for sharing ideas
* Feeding back circuit performance information to the architecture team for system modeling
* Supporting the system-level verification team in modeling analog circuits in Verilog and debugging identified issues
* Assisting with silicon bring-up and debug
