We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team at the Mayo University Hospital. The role involves daytime hours for 39 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday with some weekends. Candidates must be residents of Ireland with a valid work permit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and act in their absence.
* Deliver food services for patient feeding and the hospital restaurant, promoting our food offerings.
* Ensure the safe preparation of special diets in compliance with IDDSI standards.
* Follow hygiene policies and dress code, maintaining a clean and hygienic appearance.
* Assist in training and developing junior kitchen staff.
* Adhere to confidentiality, HACCP, and infection control policies.
* Manage stock rotation using FIFO, and ensure proper equipment use and safety procedures.
* Participate in health and safety training and adhere to all policies.
* Bring culinary expertise, creativity, and organizational skills to the team.
* Participate in training and uphold ISO standards within the kitchen.
* Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.
