The Position
We wish to appoint a Qualified Audit Senior in our Audit & Assurance Department. The position will offer you excellent advancement opportunities working with a diverse range of privately-owned businesses, who typically have a turnover of €10m - €250m across a broad range ofmercial sectors such as technology, retail, distribution, professional services and engineering. You will work closely with our international colleagues on cross border assignments and build close working relationships with the senior management team and partners. You will play an active role in the ongoing development of our audit division.
Key responsibilities
1. Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients
2. Work closely with the senior management team in maintaining and developing client relationships
3. Planning of audit assignments, transition from previous auditors and onboarding of new clients, design and implementation of audit strategy and staffing
4. Coordinate/lead the execution of the strategy at the audit fieldwork stage ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of audit services
5. pliance with the Mazars audit methodology, with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
6. Work to deadlines and within budgets
7. Advising on financial reporting and other technical report matters
8. Involvement in firm / department development and marketing and recruitment initiatives
9. Contribution to learning & development and coaching of other less experienced staff
10. Participation in the delivery of internal training courses
Ideal candidate
11. Qualified accountant with audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment.
12. Technical proficiency in FRS102 and IFRS
13. Fluent English with excellent oral and writtenmunication skills
14. Experience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationships
15. Excellent interpersonal skills
16. Excellent organisational and project management capabilities
17. Ability to provide guidance, training and feedback to other
