Water Treatment Engineer –National AccountsLocation:Ireland (Nationwide Travel)Sector:Facilities Management / Industrial Water TreatmentContract:Full-Time, PermanentThe RoleOn behalf of our client, a leading facilities management and water treatment services provider, we are recruiting a Water Treatment Engineer to support national client accounts across Ireland.This is a client-facing, technically focused role combining hands-on water treatment services with reporting, compliance support, and technical advisory responsibilities across multiple sites. The successful candidate will work closely with facilities management teams and end clients to ensure water systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary technical water treatment contact for assigned facilities management client accountsBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site-based FM teamsCarry out water treatment testing across boiler feed water, closed, and process systemsOversee water treatment plant (WTP) operations and SWAS checksAnalyse test results and provide clear technical reports with improvement recommendationsIdentify risks, non-conformances, and corrective actions, ensuring close-out and follow-upLiaise with FM engineering teams on technical issues and system optimisationManage chemical handling, stock control, and orderingEnsure environmental compliance and discharge consent adherenceCandidate ProfileEssential:Minimum 5 years' experience in water treatment engineeringStrong background in boiler feed water and closed systems treatmentProven experience in a client-facing or account-based roleAbility to work autonomously across multiple sites nationwideFull clean driving licenceEffective communication, reporting, and problem-solving skillsDesirable:Experience working within a Facilities Management or multi-site contract environmentExposure to industrial, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environmentsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary packageCompany vehicle or car allowanceFully expensed nationwide travelOngoing training, development, and career progressionFor further information on thisWater Treatment Engineerrole in please contactCaroline Kingstonon or emailCheck out all our open jobs on our HERO Recruitment website –
