Clinical Nurse Manager – Waterford, Dublin, Meath and Wexford
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for domestic and overseas candidates. We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading nursing home in Waterford, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Ensure the best clinical standards and home policies are consistently followed.
Monitor nursing staff compliance and medication administration.
Conduct monthly stock inventories and place orders for goods.
Maintain a visible presence with Care Assistants and Staff Nurses.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on performance reviews, training, staffing plans and documentation.
Review admissions to ensure proper planning, execution and assessment of care.
Support the Director of Nursing in all duties, including coverage during annual leave.
Manage daily tasks such as roster updates, handovers and monitoring resident progress.
Enhance clinical practice through direct collaboration with staff nurses and care assistants.
Provide strong leadership, clinical supervision and guidance to nursing and care teams.
Promote a person‑centred culture that reflects the organisation’s ethos values.
Support safeguarding by ensuring effective monitoring, oversight and reporting.
Foster a caring and respectful environment that meets residents’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
Work flexibly across day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
Qualifications
BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Registered on the NMBI Live Register and active PIN.
Minimum 6 years of post‑registration nursing experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a nursing home environment.
Previous managerial training and/or experience (advantageous).
Post‑registration qualification in healthcare management or willingness to complete one.
Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and clinical decision‑making skills.
Ability to motivate self and others, work independently and promote a positive team environment.
