Commercial and Contract Management Role
This position presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor with M&E experience to work in a hybrid environment, visiting sites occasionally and contributing to long-term growth within a well-structured organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical packages from tender to final account, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
* Develop cost plans, budgets, and procurement schedules for ongoing and upcoming projects, fostering effective collaboration between teams.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and manage cost comparisons, driving value engineering exercises and cost-saving initiatives.
* Oversee valuations, variations, and progress claims, maintaining commercial control and ensuring successful project delivery.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to promote commercial synergy and coordinate project activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
* At least 35 years of post-graduate experience, preferably within an M&E or building services contractor environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, procurement, and cost management, with excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software tools, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
* Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and capable of managing multiple project demands.
