Transport Supervisor

Located at our Galway depot, this supervisory role is vital to our operations and customer-centric ethos.
Key Accountabilities
Ensures timely and orderly dispatch of all routes.
Monitors driver schedules using technology, reports hourly to control cost and meet/exceed customer expectations.
Analyzes driver performance by accompanying them on routes, coaching and recommending improvements.
Coaches and motivates the delivery team, managing concerns, trends and disciplinary processes.
Minimizes equipment breakdowns, reporting incidents to vehicle maintenance.
Submits accident/injury reports to Transport Manager/Safety Manager within required timelines.
Ensures drivers minimize damages and shortages through proper loading and delivery techniques.
Identifies, coordinates and delivers driver training needs.
Maintains, cleans, and safely operates company vehicles to reduce accidents and enhance brand.
Leads by example, applying company policy and procedures fairly, consistently, and unbiasedly.
Requirements
3–5 years relevant management/supervisory experience in a high-volume, technology-driven, time-sensitive distribution operation.
Competent in IT systems: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
Good working knowledge of Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Working Time Directive, etc.).
Experience in investigations/disciplinary actions related to incidents, absences, or performance.
Ability to motivate and manage a team to deliver best-in-class service to internal and external customers.
Ability to plan and organize own and team's work safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Ability to analyse, interpret, explain and present relevant business and industry data.
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-focused, customer-centric environment.
Preferred: Transport Management CPC qualification.
