Test Manager Payroll Systems Location: Dublin (Hybrid) Type: Contract Day Rate Rate: Competitive, DOE Overview We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in enterprise transformation and digital innovation for an experienced Test Manager with proven expertise in payroll system implementations.
This is a high-impact role overseeing end-to-end testing strategy, resource planning, and quality assurance for complex system rollouts.
Responsibilities: Lead the design, execution, and management of full test lifecycle activities across payroll-focused enterprise projects.
Define test plans, scripts, and environments to meet business-specific scenarios and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and development teams to ensure applications are built with testability and quality in mind.
Manage project deliverables within agreed budgets and timelines, allocating tasks and resources across diverse teams.
Conduct risk assessments, QA estimations, and drive continuous process improvements with a focus on defect prevention.
Develop reusable testing frameworks, documentation, and user guidance to support long-term product quality.
Act as a quality champion, advising on best practices, coaching teams, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Experience: Strong background in test leadership roles, ideally within payroll, HRIS, or enterprise finance systems.
Hands-on experience managing complex test environments and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
Comfortable liaising across business and technical stakeholders, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
ISTQB Advanced Certification is desirable.
Additional certifications in QA or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
