An opportunity has arisen for two suitably qualified Social Workers to join East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership’s Joint Learning Disability Team. The posts are based within the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre.
Job Summary
Our Joint Learning Disability Team is a well-established, integrated, and experienced team co-located within an integrated building, providing the full range of adult social work and primary health services.
The team offers health and social care services to adults with learning disabilities, focusing on responsive, flexible, and outcome-oriented support. Central to our approach are transitions work, promoting personalized services to adults with learning disabilities and their families, alongside assessment and care management responsibilities in line with statutory and national standards.
This role provides a varied and diverse experience across all aspects of social work within learning disability services, within an established and cohesive team.
Minimum Requirements
* Hold a professional social work qualification and be registered with SSSC.
* Experience in social work practice within adult social services.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Hold a valid driving license.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland
The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks:
Successful candidates for regulated roles must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary, with possible installment options and deductions from final salary if employment ends early.
