Our client, a leading provider of residential social care services for young people, is expanding their team and now seekingSocial Care Leadersto join their trauma-informed service inTipperary.This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a supportive, child-centred environment that promotes positive attachments, stability, and personal growth for children and young people aged 0–17.The RoleAs aSocial Care Leader, you will play a central role in guiding a team of Social Care Workers and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care.You will support the team in implementing therapeutic interventions, maintaining care plans, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment that enables young people to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support a team of Social Care Workers in delivering a therapeutic, trauma-informed model of care.Oversee day-to-day operations within the residential unit, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies.Develop, monitor, and review individual care plans and risk assessments.Provide guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior staff members.Promote a child-centred, relationship-based approach in all interactions with young people.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of reports and administrative records.Engage in household management duties to maintain a safe, comfortable, and homely environment.Participate in on-call duties and ensure effective communication across shifts.Support ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous service improvement.RequirementsMinimum Level 7 or 8 qualification in Applied Social Studies or an equivalent relevant discipline (such as Psychology, Social Science, Youth & Community, Counselling, Nursing, etc.).A full clean driving licence is essential.Previous experience in a residential childcare setting is desirable, ideally with some team-lead or senior experience.Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and act as a positive role model for staff and young people.Flexibility to work across rosters and locations when required.BenefitsCompetitive salary with incremental progression.Company pension scheme.Ongoing professional training and development.Paid bank holidays and additional leave benefits.Genuine career progression opportunities within a growing organisation.
