Letterkenny Community Centre is seeking a dynamic and motivatedOperations Managerto lead the delivery of our strategic and operational ambitions. This is a new senior role within our team—ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant community setting.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for translating the Letterkenny Community Centre Strategy 2025 into action. Working closely with the Management Committee and the General Manager, you will lead core functions (including HR, Finance and Marketing), and manage facility upgrades and stakeholder engagement.
You'll be at the heart of a growing and diverse organisation that provides vital services in sports, wellbeing, personal development and community development.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver the annual operating plan in line with strategic goals.
* Oversee core functions:HR,Finance, Marketing & Communications, andCRM development.
* Drive service uptake across all user groups and promote the Centre’s offer.
* Manage infrastructure upgrades, health & safety compliance, and facility use.
* Engage with local stakeholders to embed best practices.
* Report monthly to the Management Committee on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a confident operator and relationship-builder with a strong track record in project or operations management. You’ll combine people leadership with organisational know-how—and bring fresh thinking to community service delivery.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Hours: 37.5-hour working week (flexibility will be required from time to time in relation to working outside normal office hours as part of the role).
Annual Leave: 25 days plus public holidays.
Essential:
* Third level degree in business administration, management, or a related field .
* 5+ years in an operations, service delivery or management role.
* Experience in HR, communications, and marketing.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Ability to manage budgets, reporting, and compliance.
* Experience in Microsoft 365.
* Proficiency in software to manage various aspects of leisure facilities and activities, including bookings, memberships, activities, and operations including a CRM system.
* Full clean driving licence with own transport.
Desirable:
* Experience in a community, social enterprise or public service setting
* Background in wellbeing, education, sport, or community development
* Familiarity with facilities management and Health & Safety
